You need a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), with typically 16 years of education for Master’s/MPhil/MS programs.
A minimum division or CGPA is required. Usually 50% or more in the bachelor’s degree for many departments. Some require “Second Division” depending on discipline.
For PhD programs: a relevant Master’s or M.Phil degree (or equivalent) is required, from an HEC recognized institution.
Admission test is required: for many PhD / M.Phil / MS programs there is a test; for PhD UoK has recently raised the passing marks for the PhD admission test to 60%.
There may also be an interview or departmental research committee evaluation as part of the selection for advanced degrees (M.Phil, PhD).
